CKC PROPERTIES GRANTED PLANNING PERMISSION TO DEVELOP £15 MILLION STUDENT ACCOMMODATION SCHEME IN LEICESTER

CKC Properties announced today that Leicester City Council has granted planning permission for a 159-bed student accommodation scheme in Conduit Street, Leicester town centre.
This marks the first approval of four student accommodation schemes that CKC has in planning, including two in Brighton and another in SE London.
The Conduit Street development will be a studio scheme, comprising of a number of shared amenities including a lounge, co-working space, gym and garden area.
CKC’s unconditional purchase of a former car park, is situated within a regeneration area of Leicester, which meets the city’s ongoing objective to continue to attract UK and international students to its universities.
CKC Managing Director, Geoff Thomas said: “We are delighted with the news, and to be part of Leicester City Councils continuing strategy to develop and improve the city”.
Construction commences in January 2018.
